US extradition

Through a case concerning three UK bankers (who are alleged to have conspired in part of the Enron financial scandal), it has become apparent that our government has set the value of British citizens much lower than that of Americans. That is, for someone to be extradited to Britain from the US, "probable cause" must be presented against them. However, for someone to be extradited to the US from Britain, the American authorities have to do little more than say "we want you".
So that's more proof that the Labour government have no respect for their electorate.

And here's a great quote from Boris Johnson summing up the entire issue;
"(The US) can ... hoover over to America, as if by some electro-magnetic power, people against whom they're not obliged to produce any prima facie evidence - whereas we have absolutely no such corresponding right to extradite to Britain suspects that we want."
