The BBC are officially idiots

Apparently, after 42 years, the BBC has cancelled Top of the Pops, as
it has reached "its natural conclusion", and "cannot compete with
24-hour music channels".

No. No no no.

How utterly idiotic. There is nothing wrong with Top of the Pops.
There never has been, and as long as there is such a thing as
"popular" music, there never will be. The only reason the show has
become so unsuccessful in recent years is its timeslot. I dont suppose
that the choice of presenters has helped much either, but the
scheduling has been the main problem.

Put it back in its double-slot with Tomorrow's World on a Thursday
evening, for Christ's sake.

I say we burn down Fern Cotton's house. It's her fault.
