The Newsnight Question
I've just watched a rather interesting report on Newsnight regarding the West Lothian Question. Whilst there was the mandatory twat (read: Scottish Labour MP) arguing that black is white, on the whole it was a rather good report, certainly considering that it is a subject which is rarely covered at all.
It angers me immensely that this barbaric, blatant rape of democracy is allowed to continue - especially when it goes so unnoticed! If the situation were reversed, they'd be screaming blue murder. So just WHY is it allowed to go on? Because we have a Labour Government which is not only predominantly Scottish, but also relies on their Scottish MPs to pass their legislation!
They set about 'fixing' the House of Lords when there really wasn't anything to fix in the first place, and yet refuse to even look at this, which so obviously needs fixing that it's painful.
(In fact, not only do they refuse to even look at it, Tony Blair's answer to the West Lothian Question is to "not ask it in the first place".)
