St. George to go
I can't even believe that this is real, but it seems that certain Bishops of the Church of England are actually seriously going to propose the replacement of St. George with St. Alban as our country's patron saint. And all because George might offend Muslims?!
What utter bollocks. When was the last time they took our feelings into consideration? They place the race card and get too much special treatment as it is.
The Church should be absolutely ashamed of itself. Do they have a purpose anymore anyway? With this kind of thing going on, it's fairly obvious that they really don't represent anyone. They continuously prove how out of touch they are with people. Is it a wonder that congregation sizes are falling?
(Highly unlikely that any of this will ever actually come to anything of course, but it's the principle of it. Total, utter madness.)

Like you said, it will come to nothing. It's tabloid silly story scaremongering as usual! I imagine most Muslims don't care what our flag looks like but a few silly Church people thought they might get offended and thought they'd better make a new flag. How very silly! This is usually the way with stupid people thinking they are stopping offence where no offence is taken in the first place... I hate the phrase 'political correctness' as it is really just 'stupidity.'
I think the church should worry about all the much more important things than silly ideas about flags... Like why their 'ratings' are collapsing year upon year. Hmmm...
