Cameron, you're pushing it.

I have, until now, been quite a fan of David Cameron. I even voted for him to become party leader. But today, he's really pushing his luck.

In a speech which he will deliver later on in Glasgow, Cameron is expected to state that he wishes for Scotland to stay within the United Kingdom, but that "English ignorance of Scots and Scotland" are immensely damaging. I am so angry by this that I do not know quite where to begin.

Any attitudes which the English may have towards the Scottish and Scotland are merely formed in answer to the racism shown by an increasingly large number of the Scottish towards us! I have not seen anything anywhere which indicates the contrary. The worrying and completely unfounded racist venom with which the Scottish see the English is the real issue here. And yet David Cameron is either a) so out of touch that he has not seen it, b) attempting - very stupidly - to get the Scots on-side, or c) insane.

I don't know what planet Cameron is on exactly, but if this story is true, then it's certainly not the same one as the rest of us. My party membership is due for renewal in the next couple of weeks, and I'm really not sure what I'm going to do now.

Thanks a lot, Dave.
