Why PC is ruining Britain.

Political correctness (PC) is ruining this country. Why? How? Well, to be honest, there's probably an endless number of routes which I could explore, so I'll just focus on the one.

Children are given false hopes.

Yes, that's right. In this age of sensitivity and ridiculous over-cautiousness, children are given false hopes. They're never - or rarely - wrong in school; they'vre just "not quite right", or "not quite what [the teacher] was thinking of". Children are rarely encouraged to correct their mistakes. They're not necessarily even made aware that they're making mistakes which need correcting.
In general, they are led to believe that they can do or be more than they realistically can. They are told that they can better themselves and can "rise above their station".

The truth is, for many, they can not.

These children need to be given a dose of reality. Not all of them have the capability, for one reason or another, to become high-flying businessmen, to go to university, to earn a "very comfortable" salary, but they are given false hopes that they can and should. And so they're picky. They won't accept (or consider) jobs which they would be realistically suited for. They are led to believe that they can and should make more money - and money is not everything anyway.

And so, so-called 'menial jobs' are going unfilled, or filled by immigrants, who often are happy to work for much less than the minimum wage. And whilst there is nothing wrong with immigrants as such, there are still jobs out there, and still British-born people who are overly proud and won't accept them.

So people, come on. Even if you still believe that you can "be better", take a job that's available, don't act like it is below you.

Just the sort of nasty, yet amusing nonsense I would expect from a wise old Tory stuck in a crap University/old Poly. Obviously, you rule yourself out from the list of people who should wise up...Perhaps you should think again and get a menial job like all the others you consign to the scrap heap.

And perhaps, rather than completely misunderstanding the argument behind and reasoning in a blog post, you should be asleep at 3:39 AM.

Although perhaps you realised that you were embarassing yourself? Either that, or you're just plain spineless, Mr Anonymous 'Jack'.

Next!

You're the one who is embarassing himself, shitting out a vitriolic blog that reads like it has been lifted from the Daily Mail.

You act like that's a bad thing...

But seriously, you really should lighten up. It's only a blog. And if you really disagree with it that much, why not explain - and identify - yourself? Don't hide behind that 'anonymous' mask like a coward. Present an alternative argument. Be a mature individual. I don't have a closed mind; I'm always willing to listen to different views and be persuaded otherwise.

I'm surprised that you're not grateful that I took the time to replace to your laughable post. You're not exactly inundated with your responses, are you?

I bid you farewell.
