Peter Hain makes fool of self on national television

Peter Hain (Northern Ireland Secretary) is a stupid shit. On today's Sunday AM, he just claimed that the thought of an English Parliament is an evil "Tory agenda". So, once again, entirely factually incorrect, and dragging immature party-politics into a very serious, important issue.

Firework dangers

A 22-year old man from Sunderland has suffered "significant" injuries after trying to launch a firework from his backside. According to this BBC News article , paramedics found a Black Cat Thunderbolt Rocket inside him when they arrived at the scene.

Pardon?

According to this BBC News Online article, the chief of New York City's finances had a mural on the side of a building occupied by a KFC franchise painted over. Where? Belfast.
 
Maybe it's just too late for me to understand properly, but if anyone can explain to me just how the City of New York has jurisdiction over Northen Ireland, I'd be very interested...
